Before you let the assistant talk to customers, call it yourself. You hear exactly what a caller hears: its voice, the opening greeting and how it answers according to your business details. It is the best way to check, after every bigger change, that the assistant sounds and answers the way you want.
How to do it
- On the Assistant page, click Test assistant at the top right.
- The Try your assistant panel appears with a QR code.
- Scan the code with your phone's camera and open the page it takes you to.
- Enter your phone number with the country code and start the call.
- Talk to the assistant. You can ask anything a customer would ask.
The QR code is valid for 15 minutes. Under the code you see how long is left. When it expires, generate a new one with Generate a new code. If you open the panel directly on your phone, use Open the test on this phone.
The test also works from a computer, but a mobile phone is built for calling, so the call sounds more natural.
What you need to know about the test
- Length: a call lasts at most 10 minutes. The assistant warns you a minute before. The time counts toward the minutes in your subscription like any call.
- Number of tests: no limit. Try as many times as you need.
- Voice: the test uses the voice quality you selected in Advanced settings, so you hear what customers hear.
- Microphone: the phone must be allowed to use the microphone.
- First test: on a project's first test call, Leadoro really sends the SMS and e-mail to the owner, even if you have them switched off, so you can see what they look like. On later tests the texts are only saved in the call detail and the messages are not sent.
- Record: a test call is saved in Conversations marked "Test" and with the number you entered. There is no recording for it.
If it doesn't work
- The QR code expired. Generate a new one with the button in the panel.
- The phone doesn't have access to the microphone. Allow it in your browser settings and try again.
- The assistant speaks differently than you want. Edit the instructions and try the call again. The steps are in How to write good instructions.
