Lead collection isn't a separate switch you turn on - it's built into how Calendar booking and Enquiries work, so your assistant always gathers exactly what's needed to follow up, without over-asking.
What's always collected
Whenever the assistant books an appointment or logs an enquiry, it collects the caller's name and phone number. The caller's phone number is normally already available from the incoming call, so the assistant only asks for it again if a different callback number is needed.
What's optional
Both the Calendar and Enquiries capability cards on the Assistant page have their own Required contact fields section with a switch for email address. Turn it on wherever you need it - for example, if you send online-meeting links by email, requiring an email address for calendar bookings makes sure you always have one to send it to.
Where collected details go
- Booking details go to your Calendar as a pending-review appointment.
- Everything else - a request the assistant couldn't fully resolve, a quote request, a callback request - becomes an enquiry, with the details already captured so it's a clear, actionable item instead of a note buried in a transcript.
Why this matters
For local service businesses, having reliable contact details before you prepare a quote, plan a site visit, or return a call saves an entire round of back-and-forth. The goal is always the minimum useful information - not interrogating the caller.
